Earlier I posted about the Moto GP and the advances in camera technology (e.g., the gyro-cam, overhead video). My favorite is the newest camera Moto GP is using that enables the viewer to see 2,000 frames per second. Imagine slowing the fastest motorcycle front tire around a turn and being able to see the red heat emanating from the disc brakes! It makes me realize how much I miss of the world sometimes – always being in motion (and it being in motion).

Here’s a great example of slowing down our world. Watch these skateboard tricks in slow motion (1,000 frames per second).


You need a subscription to watch a lot of the Moto GP races, but here’s a clip at 1000 frames per second.
